Hello, my name is Andia! I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia and am currently a second-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. I will be completing my assessment practicum at the North Shore CBT Centre, offering reduced rate psychological assessments under the supervision of Dr. Susan Rai, Psych.
I began my training because I am committed to creating inclusive spaces where individuals can express themselves, grow, and feel heard and supported throughout their mental health journeys. I am particularly drawn to psychological assessment because I believe it can empower individuals to better understand themselves and recognize their strengths, ultimately supporting growth, insight, and well-being. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach and value understanding each person's cultural context while helping them recognize and build on their strengths, capabilities, and resources.
I enjoy working with children and youth and have experience supporting neurodivergent children as well as adults navigating substance use and recovery. Additionally, I contributed to a project focused on supporting Indigenous youth experiencing suicidality by reviewing evidence and helping inform recommendations to strengthen community and inter-agency response.
Outside of my clinical training, I enjoy spending time outdoors, being with friends, and sharing meals with loved ones.
