Melissa Kaye, MC, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I provide compassionate, practical, and culturally attuned support to youth (7+), adults, and families.

I bring a passion for supporting youth (7+) with challenges related to school, learning differences, anxiety, and emotion regulation. I have extensive experience working with youth navigating anxiety in all its forms, including separation anxiety, school avoidance, social anxiety, perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, and the overwhelm that often accompanies transitions. I believe in working closely with parents who want to better understand their youth’s behaviour, providing them with the tools to be supportive at home. Seeing clients gain confidence as they learn to manage their thoughts and emtions is deeply meaningful to me.

I also enjoy supporting adults who experience anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship strain, caregiver fatigue, boundary challenges, and the ongoing pressures of balancing work, family, and identity. My CBT-informed approach helps to build client resilience. Clients learn to shift unhelpful thinking patterns, regulate emotions, and change behavioural patterns in ways that help them to reach their goals.

My work is strengthened by my social identity and personal experiences; I am Jewish, I am a mother, and I worked for years as a Special Education Teacher. I have an appreciation for the diverse cultural identities and lived experiences that clients bring into the room. I am committed to culturally responsive, thoughtful practice.

I offer in-person and online sessions. Please reach out with any questions.
