Fernanda Junqueira Gamboa, MA
Psychometrist

Hello, my name is Fernanda! I’m a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Adler University in Vancouver. I work at the North Shore CBT Centre as a psychometrist, supporting the assessment process under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Campbell.

I’m especially drawn to assessment because of its unique opportunity to better understand a person’s strengths and challenges in a structured and thoughtful way. I value how assessment can bring clarity and direction to both clients and clinicians. I have experience working with children, youth, and adults in clinical settings.

My master’s degree thesis explored the transition into motherhood during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, my doctoral dissertation focuses on the experiences of Latina first-time mothers in Canada and their interactions with the healthcare system.

Originally from Brazil, I have also lived in Germany and Chile. I have been in Canada for the past two years, completing my graduate studies. I speak Portuguese, Spanish, English, and German fluently.

Outside of academic and clinical work, I enjoy weightlifting, cooking, and traveling.
