I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and I have been in the field for 6 years. I am currently completing the second year of my PhD in Counselling Psychology.
I have a strong research background and I use this to bring the most well-supported techniques into my practise. I work mainly with adults, with a large portion of my clinical and research experience being with young adults in post-secondary institutions. While I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, I have specialized experience with developing coping strategies and navigating life transitions. These specializations guide my work with clients as they navigate leaving home, changing careers, planning education, and the stress, anxiety, and depression that often increase during these periods.
While I integrate interventions and techniques from numerous sources, I primarily practice the following models:
Person Centered Therapy (PCT)
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
