Nicha Angkanawin, MCP, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor #15744
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Using a range of evidence-based treatments, I provide in-person, telephone, and video counselling to individual youth (13+) and adults.
I am passionate about supporting individuals to find new coping skills, learn effective ways to respond to unhelpful thoughts, develop self-compassion, discover strengths, and become empowered to work towards achieving their goals. I am here to support my clients to take steps to reach their success, whatever success means for them. While offering a calm and non-judgmental presence, I help clients move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life by challenging their self-limiting beliefs. Aside from being a supportive and good listening human, I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Born and raised in Thailand until the age of 15, I support clients from diverse backgrounds. I have a particular focus on self-esteem, identity, anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and LGBTQ+ related-difficulties, I integrate many therapeutic approaches in my practice to ensure that the counselling experience is effective and suitable for each client. The main
approaches that I utilize include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
