Dr. Jasmine Irani, RCC, Doctoral Clinician
Registered Clinical Counsellor #18351
Pronouns: She/Her
I have a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology an am working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor while I pursue registration as a psychologist in BC. I enjoy working with adults (18+) from culturally diverse backgrounds. I work from a strength-based and person-centred lens in sessions. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients can openly reflect and share their inner experiences. These experiences can be processed together to be helpful and authentic to them. I work with clients to facilitate a deeper understanding of their behaviour and intentions. I also believe in providing psychoeducation and a rationale behind the strategies I provide in session.
I have a passion for counselling clients experiencing stress and anxiety, phobias, depression, grief and loss, anger management, and/or adjustment issues. I believe in grounding my therapy skills and techniques in research, and I utilize the following evidence-based modalities:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Solution Focused Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Strategies
Person-Centred Therapy
I enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants, comedy shows, reading, painting, and singing when I am not working. I offer session in English and Hindi. I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Campbell, RPsych as I pursue registration with the College of Psychologists of BC.
