Dr. Jasmine Irani, RCC, Doctoral Clinician
Registered Clinical Counsellor #18351
Pronouns: She/Her

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works with children (8+ years), youth and adults from culturally diverse backgrounds. I work from a strength-based and person-centred lens in sessions. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients can openly reflect and share their inner experiences. These experiences can be processed together to be helpful and authentic to them. I work with clients to facilitate a deeper understanding of their behaviour and intentions. I also believe in providing psychoeducation and a rationale behind the strategies I provide in session.

I have experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trichotillomania, trauma, anger management, binge eating, relationship issues, emotion regulation, life stressors, family of origin issues, and self-esteem. I believe in grounding my therapy skills and techniques in research, and I utilize the following evidence-based modalities:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Solution Focused Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Strategies

Person-Centred Therapy

Manage Your ADHD Group (online starts Sept 2022)

I enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants, comedy shows, reading, painting, and singing when I am not working. I offer session in English and Hindi. I am currently workking under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Campbell, RPsych as I pursue registration with the College of Psychologists of BC.
