I am a Doctoral student pursuing my degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. I chose to be in this profession because I find it fascinating to study the complex mind, to unravel the story behind every story and discover the hidden potential that every individual, regardless of their struggles, brings into the therapy room.
Throughout my training, I have learned a variety of therapies and put them into practice in various settings. Previously I have worked with children having developmental disabilities and applied art-based treatment to improve their fine motor skills. I have facilitated group sessions for youth and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and other life stressors in schools and universities. Subsequently, I have provided support and counselling to survivors of suicide. During my clinical training, I have administered psychodiagnostics and psychovocational assessments for adults with anxiety, depression, learning disorders, ADHD, trauma, and chronic pain in helping them re-enter the workforce. I enjoy working with youth (12+), young adults, and adults. To meet the individual needs of each client, I integrate the following approaches into my work:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Dialectic Behaviour Therapy
I genuinely believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is of utmost value. Thus, I will utilize a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach to meet you where you are. If you are reading this, I want you to know that therapy is an opportunity to help you write a brave new story.
Together we will achieve a more mindful and meaningful life.
Apart from English, I speak three Indian languages, Hindi, Malayalam, and Marathi.
